Background The origin of I. Ahmed & Company (Cold Storage & Exports) Pvt. Ltd. (IACPL) can be traced back to the genesis of the Meat export trade in the
early sixties. In fact, the Company is considered to be the pioneer in the
export of fresh and frozen meat from India, including livestock.
Having 46 years of
experience in the meat export industry, the promoters of the company
have established strong personal contacts and goodwill with every
country importing Indian Meat. Historically, IACPL was instrumental in
the opening up of almost every new market for Indian Meat, covering the major regions of Malaysia, Mauritius, Iran, West Africa, U.A.E., Kuwait,
and Jordan.

of the achievements of the Company have been possible due to the singular drive of the
management in order to induct the best technology and meat handling practices on a consistent basis.
The Company's
modern processing plant at Vashi, Navi Mumbai with a freezing capacity
of about 95 metric tonnes, is today considered as one of the most efficient
meat plants in the country, even after almost 30 years of
operation. The management keeps abreast of the modern technologies to
induct it in the organization. Approved by Agricultural and Processed
Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), the Company is in the process
of getting ISO 22000 : 2005 and HACCP Certification.
Commissioned in
1979, it was chosen as the site for the National Seminar of Hygienic
Meat Production. The Company boasts of employing some of the finest
professionals in the trade today.
